Dr. Robert Brucker is a biologist with expertise in genetics, microbiology, immunology, and bioinformatics.

As Deputy Director of the Allen Discovery Center, he helps guide the scientific vision and interdisciplinary strategy of the Levin Lab, with a focus on bioelectricity, regenerative biology, and synthetic morphogenesis. Dr. Brucker previously served as a Rowland Fellow at Harvard University, where he led independent research on host-microbiome interactions and immune signaling. He also co-founded DermBiont, a dermatological therapeutics company, where he directed research and clinical programs in infectious disease and dermatology. His work integrates machine learning approaches to accelerate discovery in complex biological systems, including microbial community modeling, target identification, and phenotypic screening. His career bridges academic and translational research.
